ABOUT
Drew White is a 28-year-old singer-songwriter and electric storyteller from Birmingham, Alabama, now rooted in Nashville, Tennessee. Shaped by the Gospel traditions and Rock ‘ n Roll grit of his hometown, White channels a sound that blends Y’allternative Rock, Folk, and Americana into something both familiar and fresh. His music is anchored in community, self-reflection, and the spirit of storytelling, delivered with equal parts intimacy and energy. White got his start in garage bands and church groups before honing his songwriting at Furman University, playing college bars to support himself. A semester abroad in Scotland broadened his reach as he busked along Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and joined the local scene, experiences that shaped a career built on authenticity and connection. In 2021, White made the move to Nashville, initially working a corporate job before fully committing to his artistry. The decision set off a new chapter, one that has quickly positioned him among the most exciting names in the city’s rising Americana scene.
White’s debut single, released during his senior year of college, earned placement on Spotify’s Discover playlist and has since amassed over 60,000 streams, an early signal of his potential. His debut album Headspace arrived in 2023, produced in collaboration with Asher Condit at Kingship Recording, and earned him recognition as one of WhiskeyRiff’s Best Artist Debuts of 2023. Notable Nashville also spotlighted him as a fresh voice to watch. The momentum continued into 2024, where he released three singles leading up to his sophomore project. His work earned him runner-up honors at the Unsigned Only Awards, while also securing opening slots for national touring acts such as BabyJake, Tommy Prine, Cassandra Coleman, Thunderstorm Artis, and Kayko.

✦ CONCRETE AMERICANA
Drew White’s 2025 album Concrete Americana weaves stories of struggle, resilience, and connection through sharp songwriting and lived experience. Songs like “Medicine,” drawn from his lifelong battle with type 1 diabetes, and “Red Eye Lover”, a meditation on heartbreak and distance, reveal the deeply personal threads that run through the project.
At its core is the title track, “Concrete Americana,” a song born from White’s long, solitary walks in 2024. Moving through city streets and neighbourhoods, he found himself observing people, listening, and imagining what kind of theme music could soundtrack those quiet, wandering moments. The result is a piece that captures the spirit of motion and reflection, an intimate narrative that turns everyday walks into a story of belonging and discovery.
